To save a copy of the paper chart in to EMR, scan the paper chart first and save it as an image. After have scanned the image, you can use the Document Management feature of PracticeSuite EMR to load this image into EMR. Additions or changes to the original patient chart after the charting has been completed and the chart saved is known as Addendum to a chart. This document is added at the end of the patient chart, along with the date and the name of the user who added the Addendum.
