Part – 1 Enhancements

1.1 PracticeSuite now offers API to Read and Process Insurance Payments

1. Inbound insurance payment information received over the interface will be read and saved in PracticeSuite.

2. The payments will be auto-posted against the corresponding charges.

3. Inbound refund info received via interface will be read and processed in PracticeSuite; meaning that refund payment will be created in PracticeSuite as well.

1.2 Changes made in ABN form for Quest Lab

1.2.1 A new add-on called Notifier is introduced at the top of the ABN form. It includes practice name, address and phone number (see Image 1.2).

1.2.2 ABN Expiration date is added at the footer of ABN form (Image 1.2).

1.3 Practicefusion – Modified Inbound Charge Message Handled in PS

PracticeSuite will read and process payment information from the latest DFT (Charge message) from Practice Fusion.

1.4 Patient Insurance Update Not Allowed After Billing

Patient insurance updates sent over the interface will not be allowed if claims have already been generated for this insurance. In these cases, new insurance will be created with the provided details. This change is not applicable for accounts that already have customizations done in the insurance API.

Part – 2 Bug Fixes

2.1 Elation- Outbound Insurance Company Info Save Issue Rectified

Outbound Insurance company information from PracticeSuite failed to get updated in Elation. This is now corrected.

2.2 Practicefusion – Demographics Update Issue Resolved

While updating patient demographics based on the ADT message received from Practice Fusion, the ‘Statement Type’ field in ‘Other Attributes’ was getting cleared. This is now fixed.
